Mike Caggiano is the creator of the S8S model and a managing partner here at S8S. Originally from Maine where he grew up in a struggling middle class home while enjoying all sports and eventually went on to play baseball collegiately. He purchased his first condo in 2005 after graduating and has been a landlord ever since. He’s bought and sold 15 properties and currently has 11 rental properties. He’s had private market and executive rental tenants along with his Housing choice voucher tenants. He is married with 3 kids and resides in North Carolina. He’s been a section 8 landlord since 2008 all while maintaining a career in corporate America as a Principal Business Partner for an international software company based out of San Francisco, raising a family, and for sure enjoying many leisure activities. 

Lucus Van Blaircum is the tech guru behind several of the S8S tools. He began working in software startups in 2013 after leaving a Math PhD program and hasn’t looked back. Now at S8S, he’s applying his decade of experience in business operations to build solutions to help the casual real estate investor pursue their definition of financial freedom. He also reviews and enhances the financial models created by Mike to more fully demonstrate the value of Section 8 investing.
